Rather three days without food than a day without tea.

Maybe I should take those words to heart.
The weekend was pretty terrible. An oil company accidently dumped almost 200 gallons of heating oil into my basement while I was sleeping, and the oil went all the way up to a flame. My cat woke me up to the smell, and thankfully I didn't blow up or something. They will pay for everything, so no worries there. To add to the wonderful news, I ate way too much. An odd thing that I do is eat a lot of healthy foods. Even though they are "good" for me, they have way too many calories. Ugh.
It's about 5:30 in the evening, and so far I've had unsweetened green tea and a fruit salad (100 calories). I also have a pot of unsweetened mint tea in front of me. Hopefully that will be all for today. I'm thinking of going on mostly tea, fruit, and vegetables. As for things like protein, there is always edamame, lean meats, eggs, etc. They will be eaten in moderation.
You've probably heard it a million times, but I seriously recommend tea of any kind. Try to drink it unsweetened and without milk (which apparently binds with many of the healthy properties and ruins any effect that they would've had ). Even if the health claims are not true, at the very least it's a calorie-free way to hydrate yourself if you are tired of water. I swear that it's why my skin is clear and I have a low amount of abdominal fat. Maybe I'm just rambling (and I am), but I can't express how much I love tea. <3
